Senior Year!!

I am SO excited to finally be starting my senior year at Alta High School. I've been pretty much looking forward to this time in my life for forever. I just want to make this year the best year it can be. They say not to wish your life away and to enjoy your time right now, but I can honestly say that I am sooo excited to go to college after this year, and I'm hoping to prepare for that experience during this year. But anyway, my senior year has been utterly AMAZING so far! I have easy classes, (including two photography classes, theatre 4 productions, and madrigals) and my friends and I have gotten a lot closer. We've basically just had a blast!! And we've already made some awesome memories! I love all of those guys so much! I don't know what I would do without my amazing friends!

Alright, now for some huge news... I GOT THE LEAD in our school's musical 42nd Street! The auditions were so hard and exhausting, but it all paid off in the end. Everyone in the auditions were so amazing!! I'm just so happy and grateful for this opportunity. I just hope I can pull it off and not let anyone down. I'm going to be playing Peggy Sawyer in the production and I am just ecstatic! The musical has an amazing cast and it is just going to be an incredible show. Rehearsals have been so fun so far and they just barely started! I just know the rest of my senior year is going to be amazing. I just can't wait!! :)

Coming to a Close...

I cannot believe that summer is almost over!! So much has happened this summer and I just can't wait for my senior year to start! I've gone to girls camp, youth conference and YASE (Young Ambassador camp) it was a total blast! I learned though that it is going to take a TON of work if I want to be a young ambassador one day. All summer I've just hang out with friends and have had some crazy adventures! I still have a lot more to do before school starts again including madrigal retreat and an amazing date to Lagoon with my best friend!! I'm so excited! This summer I have tried to improve with my film and photography skills and I hope to get better this next year. There is just so much to do, but yet I find myself being so unhappy. I don't know what it is. I've kind of hit this depression that just won't seem to go away. Hopefully it will! But in the mean while I'm going to try to stay optimistic.

This is Robyn, me, and my roommate Sarah, at YASE! :) It was so much fun, but a lot of hard work and determination!

SUMMER!! Here we go!

Well SUMMIE is finally here and I couldn't be more happy. My summer has already gotten off to a great start. I went to graduation with my friends Amanda, Jordan, and Joey and then after we had an awesome adventure. We went to KFC and got a chicken bucket and then went to seven eleven and filled it up with SLURPEE. After that we played music and just hung out. Then on Friday I made a movie with my best friends Geoff and Joey. Film and photography have become one of my strongest passions this year and I have been trying to get better at both. I honestly have an ongoing battle whether I should go into THEATRE or FILM/PHOTOGRAPHY if I do go into theatre, it will be musical theatre. One of my goals honestly is to be a young ambassador at BYU, but that's going to take a lot of work and dedication. I've also spent the past few days of summer with some of my girl friends just having awesome girl time :) going shopping, eating, and of course talking. So far Summer has been awesome! And I have a whole list to complete for this summer that is going to just be amazing!! I honestly can't wait!!
This is the video I made a couple days ago. I'm trying to get better and I decided to do this film about Yellow because it's happy, bright, and it's also my favorite color. It's a little abstract, but hopefully it will make you smile :)

Coming Back...

It's been quite a long time since I updated my blog! The last time I wrote was when summer was almost over, but now... summer 2010 is almost here!!! I am so excited!! So many things have happened this year that it would take forever to explain everything so I'll just give you a short summary of my junior year :)

I was in Alta's production of the King and I as well as The Crucible where I had a lead as Mary Warren. I went on the most amazing choir tour of my life to New Orleans! It was a total blast! I was with my best friend Joey the whole time and we had and amazing trip! I went to state in theatre with a piece I did with my friend Alex Saxton from Steel Magnolias and we medalled PLUS we got in the judges top five favorites and got to perform in front of everyone at state! I got to sing the star spangled banner at my school for the prom assembly. I went to all the dances this year except for one. I'm taking tap lessons for 42nd street next year. I made it into Madrigals for next year. And to top it all off, I've truly come to learn who I am this year and through many hard moments I've figured out what is truly important in my life.

Hey! This is me

Hi! I'm Emilie, a girl who is almost seventeen and is lovin life. So I decided to get a blog after seeing my friend Bailee's, because I thought it would be kinda fun to have one! So it is all rather a work in progress. My passions in life are Theatre, music, singing, and film. Basically anything to do with the arts, I'm there. I also love writing, reading, and photography. I want to try to major in Theatre and Film. I'm not sure what type of theatre yet because I love both regular and musical. I've been in eleven plays including "High School Musical" where I played Taylor Mckessie, "Oklahoma", "A Midsummer Nights Dream" where I played a fairy, "A Comedy of Errors" in which I played Dromio of Ephesus, and "Dentity Crisis" where I played Jane. I've also been in two singing-dancing performing groups, Clayton Productions and Singers Unlimited. I was on a dance team for three years at South Mountain Dance and I have been singing all of my life.

I have some of the most amazing people in my life right now and if you want to know who they are just look to the left :) They have helped me so much in my life and I honestly do not where I would be or what I would do without them. We all met doing things like singing, theatre, and just music. We've grown closer together than I think most friends do and we would do anything for each other. I love life at the moment and I'm living in the moment. I don't want to miss out on anything. Now that summer is almost over and school is about to start I can't wait to keep going with life and see where it takes me. I want to take every opportunity and try everything. I want to meet new people and see new things. But mostly I just go with the flow :)
